UPDATES CONCERNING COVID-19

Update 7/17/20

Effective July 17th 2020, it is now Colorado State Mandate to wear a face covering when moving inside a public space.

Whether or not we agree with this order is irrelevant. We risk having our business license suspended if we do not comply.

Please bring a mask with you and wear it over your mouth and nose when moving around the club. When you get to your workout area you may pull the mask down.

Exemption from the order:

“Individuals who are exercising alone or with others from the individual’s household and a face covering would interfere with the activity”

If you are maintaining 6 ft social distancing, we consider that “exercising alone”. We will leave the decision of whether a face covering would interfere with the activity up to each member.

Starting Monday July 20th

We are starting an “at risk” time for the club in order to accommodate those members who may have compromised immune systems but still need to exercise:

8 AM to 10 AM Monday through Friday

FACE COVERINGS STRICTLY ENFORCED

During this time period face coverings will need to be worn around the nose and mouth at all times.

UPDATE 6/14/20

We are excited to announce the hot tub, coed steam room and sauna are now open! We are required to limit the capacity to 1 (unless you live in the same household). With this limited capacity, we do have to require appointments. You can book them on MindBody online or the MindBody app. You may also schedule your session at the front desk upon arriving for your workout session. The hours to use these amenities are: M-TH 7am-7pm, Friday 7am-5pm, Sat 10am-2pm. As always, please do not hesitate to contact us with questions or concerns at slvsportsandwellness@gmail.com.

UPDATE 6/9/20

We are excited to announce that we are officially reopened with 24-hour access! We know this has been a stressful time, and you are ready to get back to working out in the club. A few things have changed, so we will outline what current operations look like. The health of our members and staff is our top priority, and we are doing everything in our power to keep everyone healthy and safe.

We have added back our Circuit Express class from 5 AM to 6 AM Monday, Wednesday, and Friday! We will be adding back more group fitness classes starting the week of June 15th.

The hot tub, dry sauna, and steam rooms will reopen during staffed hours starting June 15th. Only 1 person at a time will be allowed in these areas unless you are from the same household.

The swimming pool will reopen July 6th during staffed hours. Pool use will be limited to 25% capacity and social distancing will still need to be practiced. Water Aerobics will resume on June 6th and will be offered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8 AM.

We are tentatively scheduled to reopen Kid’s Club on July 6th. If you would like updates on this, please respond to this email and we will update you when we have more information.

New procedures:

  1. We are limited in our capacity to 75 members in the building at one time. Everyone still needs to practice social distancing at this time.
  2. Please wash hands when you enter the club and after your workout.
  3. We have upgraded our disinfectants and sanitizing procedures to ensure we are killing all viruses properly. Our staff is going through the club regularly and disinfecting with an EPA registered sanitizer with a 30 second dwell time (meaning that all viruses are killed in 30 seconds of this product being in contact with them). In addition to this, we ask that members please sanitize their equipment after use. The proper sanitizing procedure is to spray the cleaning towel with disinfectant, wipe the equipment, and then let dry. Please do not spray disinfectant directly onto equipment. Please do not sanitize any of our touchscreens on our cardio equipment. These are being cleaned by our staff with a separate disinfectant.
  4. Masks are recommended when you feel that you can safely wear one.
  5. We encourage the use of appointments so that we may monitor the number of members in the club. However, this is not required. If you are unable to book an appointment, please feel free to come in whenever you would like. Click here to make an appointment.
  6. Please do not share equipment unless you are from the same household.
  7. Locker rooms are open. Please no more than 3 people in the locker room at a time unless you are from the same household.
  8. Showers are open. Please no more than 2 members in the shower area at a time unless you are from the same household.
  9. For your safety we are requiring staff members to conduct daily symptom and temperature checks before coming to work. Staff members showing any symptoms of COVID-19 will stay home until they are symptom free for 72 hours.
  10. Please perform a self-symptom check before visiting the club. If you have a fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, etc. please do not visit the club until you have been symptom free for 72 hours.

Saturday 7am-5pm

STATEMENT CONCERNING COVID 19 (MARCH 2020):

Hello Members and Visitors,

The COVID-19 crisis has brought immense change to our lives and has been a very stressful time for all of us. We want you to know that our team at SLV Sports & Wellness is here for you and is working on several ways to help you. We wanted you all to know how we have added value to your memberships during this period where we are forced to close our doors:

  1. We are loaning our equipment out free to members for home use. Contact us to reserve workout equipment today!
  2. We are live streaming classes and now have a member’s only virtual workout page on our website. Please refer to email communication with the password to access virtual workouts!
  3. We are providing motivation, tips, and support through our social media outlets to try and help keep members active and healthy through this time. Stay connected via Facebook, Instagram and Youtube!
  4. We are offering our custom workout plans and nutrition plans at half price to members (we are utilizing equipment you have at home to build these plans). Contact us to learn more.
  5. We are offering online personal training and nutrition coaching at a significant discount to our members. Contact us to learn more.
  6. We have several other ideas in the works and will be updating everyone as soon as they are available. Stay up to date with us through Facebook, Instagram and Youtube.
